Things I've built
Most of what I make started as something that bugged me.
A business, and a pile of small tools. Each one is about making something feel effortless for the person using it, even when that person is only me.
The business I run
Shortlisted
Job hunting usually feels like shouting into the void: endless scrolling, tweaking and sending, and silence back. I've watched capable people give up, not because they weren't good enough but because the process wore them down.
Shortlisted takes that miserable part off people's hands. It finds roles worth applying for and tailors each application, so they can put their energy into what matters, like interviews.

Small tools
Dew Drop Keeper
My plants kept dying, so I built an app that tells me which ones need water today.
Have a lookScribe Desk
One place to transcribe meetings, podcasts and game sessions, each with its own vocabulary.
Have a lookGit Status
One page that shows which of my projects have work I've forgotten about, and never claims something is clean when it isn't.
Have a lookPower Backup
Folder syncing for people who don't want to learn rsync, with a preview before anything is deleted.
Have a lookFile Rename
Batch rename a folder of files by typing a pattern, without touching the originals.
Have a lookTiming Colour Tool
Gives child projects in the Timing app hue variations of their parent's colour, so related work reads as a family.
Have a lookHow I build with AI
Most of what's on this page I built with AI. I write down what I want first, check each piece works before moving on, and keep notes so I can pick things up later.
